About Me

I have a long history of working in teaching and education management- starting out in an  English school in Malaysia when I was 18 (and not really having a clue what I was doing!); later in UK schools, in colleges teaching English to refugees, and training teachers. I’ve mentored refugees through the amazing REUK and I’m currently a trustee of the (equally amazing!) Raising Futures Kenya. I’m thriving in balancing my roles of consultant, coach, charity board trustee and homeschool mastermind.

I love being intentional about the ways I interact with the world, and I try to get out of my comfort zone to push myself to learn and grow. I want to squeeze life for all it has and never look back on a season and think ‘I wish I had ….’

If you want to be intentional about making changes in your life and growing as a person – get in touch!

How Coaching Has Helped Me

I’ve always been a planner – setting my mind on something and then figuring out the steps to make it happen: high school grades, visiting as many countries as possible, climbing Mount Kilimanjaro, buying my first house. But when I was faced with the question of whether my family and I should move to USA for work – I didn’t know what I wanted … so how could I plan?  With the help of some well-placed, exploratory questions, a friend coached me to uncover the key issues and thought patterns that were holding me back. I had the space to articulate what was important to me, and to verbalise the grief I felt about what I would be leaving behind. I finally felt free to make the decision and I had clarity on what I needed to deal with before feeling that freedom to go. And now, nearly 6 years later, I can happily say that moving to USA was one of the best decisions for our family!
